ABOUT US
Eden Farm is a family farm that was established in 2011. It is owned and operated by Kassie, Joe, and Joey Dwyer of Athens, Maine.
Kass- Wants you to know that she is not the farmer's wife, but the farmer. She grew up on her grandparents' dairy farm (Frith Farms) in Athens and was born with agriculture in her blood. Kassie holds a bachelor's degree in Sustainable Agriculture with an Animal Science minor, a Master's of Education in Curriculum & Instruction and another in History. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent Social Studies & freelance writer. She loves showing her goats, history, cows, cats, reptiles (animals in general), playing basketball, & time at camp in Caratunk with her boys!
Joe-Refers to himself as "the farm hand", but lucky for Kass, he is quite handy and a talented engineer. He has completed many important projects that make the farm run more efficiently and with his father has built most of the beautiful buildings on the property. Joe works for Methuen Construction as a superintendent, building and remodeling projects throughout New England. He grew up in Carrabassett Valley on the slopes of Sugarloaf, but made the mistake of falling in love with a farm girl!
Joey-5th grade body, old farmer's soul. He is a dedicated hay man who has been riding the tedder since he was in utero. He maintains a fleet of toy hay equipment and is an equal opportunity tractor enthusiast, appreciating John Deere, Kubota, Ford, and Farmall alike. In addition to haying and pretending to make hay, he enjoys watching other people hay, in real life and on YouTube. Basketball is his other obsession! He loves showing his goats in 4-H and open shows and can be credited with inciting our small Saanen herd.
