THE FARM
We are located on 66 picturesque acres in Athens, ME; with an additional 50 acres of hay land next door. We have plentiful pastures, historic rock walls, a pond, vernal pools, forest, and a half acre+ of garden space. A good chunk of our woodlands are in the Conservation Reserve Program that is run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, keeping it pristine for future generations. Eden is part of the original Frith Farm, which was operated by Kassie's grandparents, Maynard and Marlene Frith. We purchased our land in 2011 and began operations as Eden Farm.
We started our business selling 100% grass fed beef and later added pastured pork. In 2018, we shifted away from pastured pork, and at the beginning of 2019, after careful consideration and running some numbers, decided to move our focus away from beef and focus on breeding and selling high quality feeder calves to grass based finishers. We also have a registered dairy goat operation that targets quality goats for show and milk. In 2020, we opened our farm stand, which is open seasonally and features milk, cheese, fudge, soap, and other products from our farm. Our farm is also home to flock of purebred Muscovy ducks and we sell hay annually.
